Harrington Family Services Foundation Annual Giving Campaign |

Harrington Family Services Foundation supports numerous programs for children. Since its founding in 1890 as the Galesburg Free Kindergarten by Knox County educator Evelyn Strong, the foundation has fulfilled lives of children and families. At its inception in 1890 the organization served transient and migrant families. Today it has evolved into a Foundation supporting numerous services and activities for children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbance and mental illness by providing specialized and individualized recovery tools and activities. |

The Foundation has also provided financial support for Camp Kidz, a summer day camp for children with disabilities as well as funding for services and programs provided through Bridgeway’s Creative Childhood Center preschool and childcare. The Harrington Family Services Foundation has provided financial resources to support local programs and services that make a difference to kids and families in our communities. This attention to caring for children and families would not be possible without your generous financial support. The mission has evolved over the years and the need for assistance and resources remains. Today the Harrington Family Services Foundation maintains its historic and compassionate tradition in aiding the needs of children and families equal to the values and passions which founded the organization over 120 years ago.
