| Responsible for teaching and demonstrating skills which promote healthy family life and assure safety of children through in-home services to clients referred by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Also responsible for providing comprehensive specialized services to ensure the child’s right to regularly scheduled visitation with parents and family members. Will assume total responsibility for planning, coordinating, conducting, and documenting the visit in accordance with the DCFS visitation plan. |
| Must be a warm, caring, flexible individual who is able to reach others. Must be emotionally mature, stable, and self-directed. Must be 21 years old. |
| Education/Training Requirements |
| High school diploma/GED. Must have 2 years child welfare experience. |
| Skills/Other Requirements |
| Must have a physician’s statement verifying freedom from communicable diseases/physically able to perform work demands; must have valid drivers license, proof of insurance, reliable vehicle, and be insurable. Must have working knowledge of computer and work processing packages. Must obtain and maintain Adult and Infant/Child CPR, and First Aid after hired; must attend Blood Borne Pathogen after hired and annually thereafter. |
