Basic Job Duties
Under the supervision of the Residential Coordinator, provides residential support services and psychosocial rehabilitation services to consumers with serious mental illness residing in Bridgeway Residential Facilities. Implements selected aspects of the Consumer Centered Plans with a focus on skills training in the areas of basic survival and daily independent living skills and assists in the provision of other case management support service for residents. Develops a respectful, helping and supportive relationship with each consumer to promote recovery and reintegration into the mainstream of community living.


Education/Training Requirements
Minimum of High School Diploma/GED. Experience in the Human Service Field desirable. Must be 21 years old.


Skills/Other Requirements
Must have good communication and writing skills, social and assessment skills, and good decision making skills. Must be able to work as a team member and have a committment to work with persons with serious mental illness demonstrating a belief in the principles of recovery and empowerment for persons with serious mental illness. Dependability with willingness and ability to work non-standard, flexible hours and respond in an on call emergency situation where back-up staffing is critical. Basic computer navigation and word processing skills essential. Must attend Blood Borne Pathogens and OIG training with first 10 working days of hire and annually thereafter; must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification after hired. Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license and proof of insurance.

Employment is conditional upon passing DCFS fingerprint and Criminal Background Checks.
