Using a person-centered and compassionate approach, Bridgeway’s Recovery Oriented System of Care is a coordinated network of community-based services and supports. It builds on the strengths and resilience of individuals, families, and communities to achieve improved health, wellness, and quality of life for those with or at risk of alcohol and drug problems. The Recovery Oriented System of Care places a strong emphasis on recovery and emphasizes multiple pathways to long-term recovery. Our mission is “collaborating to build and empower communities of recovery.” Bridgeway operates two Recovery Oriented System of Care facilities in West Central Illinois and in McDonough/Fulton County Illinois. The Recovery Oriented System of Care forms partnerships to help clients remain sober in their natural environments and achieve their goals on a healthy pathway.
Bridgeway’s Recovery Oriented System of Care council identifies and addresses the needs of the recovery community and promotes infrastructure development, training and education, involvement of individuals with lived experience, and creating an integration of systems through local hospitals, mental health systems, law enforcement, local governments and policy makers. This involves informing, educating, and empowering individuals and communities by expanding access to a comprehensive array of prevention, treatment and peer recovery support service options. Bridgeway’s Recovery Oriented System of Care council meets monthly.
